Logic Certification has expanded its provision of Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) courses for the electrical trade by adding four new qualifications to its growing portfolio. All Level 3 Awards, the new courses cover the traditional electrician's role; from installation through to certification; plus solar photovoltaic system installation and maintenance.
The new qualifications include:
- QCF Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671 : 2008 (2011)
- QCF Level 3 Award in the Principles, Practices and Legislation for the Initial Verification of Electrical Installations
- QCF Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing, Condition Reporting and Certification of Electrical Installations.
- QCF Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Photovoltaic Systems
The QCF, which came into play last year, has been designed to improve the way vocational courses are run, promoting more flexibility and greater learner control. Based on units, which have a credit value and level, each qualification and unit is viewed, essentially, as a building block, with each holding a credit value and a level.
The new electrical qualifications join a raft of new QCF qualifications relating to the building services engineering sector. For a full list of QCF courses and details on pre-requisite skills and qualifications, visit www.logic-cert.com/qualifications or telephone: 02088393439.
