Logic Certification has published a new QCF qualification - Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Gas Fired and Oil Fired Domestic Heating and Hot Water Systems.
The course is designed to enable installers of oil and gas fired boilers comply with the requirements of the Building Regulations Approved Document L1A and the Domestic Building Services Compliance Guide.
QCF Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Gas Fired and Oil Fired Domestic Heating and Hot Water Systems has a total of nine Guided Learning Hours and in most cases can be completed within one day. The qualification is also suitable for engineers who install solar thermal hot water and/or heat pump systems and are seeking formal qualifications to enable them to join a Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). MCS registration is necessary to install technologies under the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).
The existing Logic Certification Energy Efficiency course will continue to be available at centres but will be withdrawn as from 31.12.14.
