Amendment 3 of 17th Edition Wiring Regulations sparks new electrical qualification!

Are you aware of the new amendments and changes to BS7671:2008 (2011) – 17th Edition Wiring Regulations? As a qualified electrical engineer, you need to be up-to-speed with your knowledge and training to comply with legislation set to come into force on 1st July 2015.

We have introduced a new, 17th Edition ‘update’ course for electrical engineers to cover the requirements and legislation of Amendment 3. The qualification provides a time-efficient option for operatives who need to demonstrate their knowledge of Amendment 3, without repeating the up-to-date elements of the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.

There will be a six month transition period where electrical contractors can install to Amendment 2 or Amendment 3, after which it will be a requirement that all electrical installations designed and periodically tested will have to comply with the changes.

We have also updated our QCF electro-technical qualifications to ensure they meet the requirements of the new standard, including the Level 3 Award in the Requirements of Electrical Installation BS7671, which is to be available from learner registrations from 1st March 2015.

Electrical engineers or Logic Certification approved centres looking to take-up the qualification should contact 0208 839 2439 or email enquiries@logic-cert.com. For more information about 17th edition wiring training and assessment, click here.
