APHC offers training rewards for plumbing and heating companie

The Association of Plumbing & Heating Contractors (APHC) is offering 100 plumbing and heating companies the chance to claim a £150 training reward through its sister company, educational charity APHC (Training).

The reward can be claimed by employers wishing to update the training of an existing qualified employee, towards the cost of a certified course with a recognised training provider such as APHC, BPEC, City & Guilds and all UKAS approved ACS providers.

Graeme Dryden, technical services manager at APHC, said:

"The £150 reward is available to all plumbing and heating companies in England and Wales regardless of whether they are a member of APHC.”

“The reward can be used by companies to help employee development through a wide range of topics from Building Regulations to Gas Accreditation to Renewable Technologies and Water Regulations. A detailed breakdown of qualifying courses can be found on our website."

"I would urge interested companies to apply without delay as in previous years uptake has been high," added Mr Dryden.

How to apply

Each quarter, 25 training rewards will be available to bona-fide plumbing and heating companies.  They are awarded on a first-come-first-served basis.  Both APHC member and non-member companies are eligible to apply, as are companies that have received a training award in previous years.

Apply by downloading the relevant training reward form (links below), complete it and return it for initial approval.  On completion of the course (which must be before the end of 2017), applicants need to send the course invoice with their certification of completion to the APHC, who will then pay the reward into the employer’s business account.
