Still a way to go with Smart Meter targets
The clock is ticking away on the smart meter roll-out and there's still a lot of work to be done if energy suppliers are to meet government targets.
All homes and small business sites will be offered smart meters by their energy company between now and the end of 2020.
Many Skills One Vision Conference
On the 15th June, we exhibited at the Many Skills: One Vision Conference, which focused on the Workforce Renewal and Skills Strategy recently launched by The Energy & Utilities Partnership. Held by the National Skills Academy for Power at St George’s Park in Burton on Trent, in the evening, there was an award ceremony - The People of Power Awards - celebrating the best young talent entering the sector.
