Tickets for our annual National Forum in July are going well. If you’ve not signed up for one yet, here are some of the reasons we think you should join us:
Essential updates
The workshop programme will give you the latest updates on regulations and qualifications in our sector. Come and find out about the new 18th Edition Wiring Standard, (BS7671) which has been introduced to ensure the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems throughout the UK. We’ll guide you through the changes and launch our new qualification.
Following the introduction of the MLP last autumn, we’ll be offering an MLP Refresher workshop, where you’ll have the chance to give us your feedback - and we’ll look at Best Practice; to help you deliver new applicants the very best training.
Introduction of new LCL qualifications
The forum will also see the launch of our new Smart Metering Level 3 qualification and Tom Bradley from NAREC Distributed Energy will be there to deliver a session on the future of Renewables.
There will be a number of practical sessions on EQA guidance and how to prepare for an audit. Another workshop will look at the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the impact they’ll have on your centre. New for 2018 will be a session on the importance of PR and marketing to help promote your centre in an ever-more competitive marketplace.
A chance to meet the team
The LCL National Forum is a great opportunity to come and put a face to a name. The LCL team will be on hand, delivering the workshops and to chat informally. At the end of the day there will be an EQA Surgery where our experts will be on hand to deal with any queries you may have.
A great opportunity to network
Many of the delegates who came to last year’s Forum felt that the day had given them a great opportunity to network with others in the sector.
David Owen from Mid Kent College said: "A fantastic event. This was my first time, but it will not be my last. Everything was well-planned and very slick".
