Electrical Safety Awareness in Social Housing and Residential Dwellings

This regulated qualification is for learners working within the social and private housing sector that need to be aware of electrical safety and that wish to:

• Update and continue their professional development (CPD)
• Develop their knowledge and understanding
• Prepare for further learning or training

• The learner will know the legislation and guidance requirements for landlords, owners and others responsible for electrical safety in dwellings
• The learner will know the principles and characteristics of electricity
• The learner will know how electricity is used within dwellings
• The learner will know the dangers and risks associated with electricity within dwellings
• The learner will know the landlords, owners and others responsibilities for maintaining the safety of electrical installations in dwellings
• The learner will know how to identify electrical appliances, fixtures and fittings that may pose a danger
