Replacement certificates
LCL Awards may issue a replacement certificate or provide certification data where the original certificate has been, lost, stolen, misplaced, defaced, accidentally destroyed or the holder has changed their name by deed poll. When requesting a replacement certificate or certification data , candidates will be required to provide evidence of their identity by supplying a passport quality photograph along with their personal details.
To obtain a replacement certificate or certification data (see below for examples), candidates must put their request in writing to LCL Awards using the link below, confirming personal details and the reasons for the request. Where the request being made is for certification data only it will normally be provided by electronic mail, therefore a current email address will need to be provided. Where the request is for a replacement certificate due to change of name by deed poll, a copy of the deed poll will need to be provided. 'See note below'.
There is an administration charge of £50.00 inc. of VAT for each replacement certificate requested and £30.00 inc. of VAT for the provision of any certification data, payment may be made by either cheque or credit/debit card.
Once we have received the application form we will contact you on the telephone number provided and confirm your request and method of payment. Where payment is made by BACS the request will be processed once the payment has been confirmed, where the payment is made by credit/debit card the request will be processed once payment has been confirmed by the card issuer. In all cases requests will be dealt with promptly and within 24 hours of the receiving the request and payment.
Replacement certificates are issued subject to the conditions as published in the Handbook for Learners and Centres and will indicate the date of issue and that they are a replacement.
Where a replacement certificate is being requested due to the original not being received it will only be issued free of charge if LCL Awards are notified within 3 calendar months of the original dispatch date.
Note: We will only issue a replacement certificate with a different learner name where that learner has changed their name by making an enrolled deed poll.
