Ofgem supports heat metering qualification

Logic Certification has published a new QCF qualification – Level 2 Award in the Principles of Metering for Renewable Heat Installations

The qualification is supported by Ofgem and has been designed to enable heating engineers to update and refine their professional skills to install heat meters on renewable heating installations.

New pellet only biomass course

Logic Certification has launched a new biomass heating course, to help installers take advantage of the increased market demand in-light of the Domestic RHI and the general start of the heating season. Focusing on pellet-burning appliances, the new, limited-scope qualification will allow heating and plumbing engineers who don’t deal with logs or chips to choose a course most relevant to their business needs.

New energy efficiency qualification

Logic Certification has published a new QCF qualification - Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency for Gas Fired and Oil Fired Domestic Heating and Hot Water Systems.

The course is designed to enable installers of oil and gas fired boilers comply with the requirements of the Building Regulations Approved Document L1A and the Domestic Building Services Compliance Guide.

Train for the domestic RHI through Logic Certification

The domestic RHI has now been launched after what might seem like an eternity. This is an exciting turn of events for the building services engineering sector and one which should provide an incentive for installers to train in associated technologies.

Logic Certification courses in solar thermal hot water and heat pumps (both ground and air source) are some of the only qualifications approved to meet the requirements of MCS. Available at locations throughout the UK, is likely there's a Logic Certification approved centre not far from your business.

New air source only heat pump course

Logic Certification has launched a new Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) only course, meeting
customer demand for training in the heat pump most relevant to the majority of installers and end users. A QCF Level 3 qualification, the course meets the latest MCS requirements.

RHI Training Vouchers launched!

The Renewable Heat  Incentive Training Support Scheme (RHITSS) has now gone live, meaning installers can apply for vouchers online at www.rhitraining.co.uk and redeem them at approved centres. If you're a Logic Certification centre and you haven't yet applied to become an approved centre, do so now at www.rhitraining.co.uk.

Apply to become an RHI Training Voucher approved centre

The RHI Training Support Voucher scheme, which offers installers £500 or 75% off the cost of solar thermal, heat pumps and biomass - was launched at the end of October, in Logic Certification's very own Logic4training, at its Northolt centre. We'd like all Logic Certification centres to reap the benefits that being involved in this scheme will bring and urge our approved training providers to register their interest at www.rhitraining.co.uk.

RHI training voucher scheme launched, train through Logic Certification

Yesterday (24th October) saw Logic Certification play host to Energy Secretary, Ed Davey  and the launch of a new £500,000 training voucher scheme in a bid to raise the skills set of existing plumbing and heating engineers, equipping them with the expertise needed to install and maintain renewable heating or hot water systems.
