First centre to deliver Logic Certification QCF award

Logic Certification Ltd (LCL) approved centre, Training in Electrical , based in Nottingham, is the first  LCL provider to assess learners in the its   Level 3 award - Requirements for Electrical Installations to BS7671: 2008 (2011) - one of the Awarding Organisation's courses recently approved under the QCF (Qualifications and Credit Framework.)TiE

QCF electrical qualification from Logic Certification

Logic Certification has had its first qualification recognised under the QCF (Qualifications Credits Framework). The Level 3 award - Requirements for Electrical Installations to BS7671: 2008 (2011), covers the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and is necessary for operatives wishing to join some Electrical Registration Bodies, Competent Person Schemes or the Microgeneration Scheme.

Part P CPS Qualification Requirements Delayed

The Electrotechnical Assessment Specification Management Committee (EAS) has agreed to delay the implementation of the new Qualified Supervisors technical competence requirements until 6 April 2013, to align with anticipated revisions to Part P of the Building Regulations (England and Wales). 

CPA1 reminder for Domestic Gas Engineers

As from 1st April 2012 all domestic gas engineers who carry out work on space heaters or boilers are required to demonstrate their competence in the use of an electronic portable combustion analyser by undertaking and successfully completing the ACS assessment CPA1.
