Centres, show your support for Gas Safety Week

We're half way through Gas Safety Week, the annual event intended to raise awareness of Gas Safety for end users, and a great opportunity to remind the installers training at Logic Certification centres about the importance of keeping their Gas ACS qualifications up to date.

Gas safety and auditing courses at Gas Utilisation 2017

We will be exhibiting at at IGEM's Gas Utilisation conference on Wednesday 20th September 2017, at The Slate Conference Centre on the Warwick University campus.

The conference, dedicated to those working in the utilisation sector of the gas industry, is entitled Compliance - A Changing Landscape. It focuses on a number recent developments pertinent to gas professionals. Changes they need to take on board, in order to remain compliant. We'll be promoting our Gas Safety Management courses and two excellent new courses we have developed on Gas Auditing. It's the perfect opportunity to meet and talk about your training requirements.

Gas Safety in the Social Housing Sector

We all recognise the importance of gas safety in the social housing sector, as the potential for things to go wrong is all too real. Current legislation, known as Regulation 36, requires landlords of local authority housing, housing associations and co-operatives to protect their tenants in just the same way as those renting in the private sector.

Improved standards for gas training

From 1st October 2017, all Managed Learning Programs (MLP) undertaken by new entrants into the gas industry will change. Logic Certification centres throughout the UK are ready for these changes, with Logic Certification's MLP including options for complete new entrants and those with some prior learning and experience in the gas industry or a related trade.

New Gas Auditing qualifications

We have launched two new Level 3 Gas Auditing qualifications. One qualification has been designed for gas engineers responsible for auditing gas work, in order to check it is safe and has been carried out correctly - a particular requirement for social housing properties. The second Gas Auditing qualification is specifically for businesses that carry out audits of their own or other businesses operations as part of their work management procedures.

Funded Renewable Courses at Narec Distributed Energy

Logic Certification approved centre, Narec Distributed Energy, has given heating engineers in the North East the chance to upskill into this important sector for free, with a range of Logic Certification renewable qualifications funded with money from the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Skills Funding Agency (SFA).

Time to prepare for the F-Gas tidal wave

As part of the drive to help slow the onset of global warming, the impending restriction on high GWP (global warming potential) refrigerants in the UK coming months and years, will have a needed but significant impact on the refrigeration and air conditioning sector.

Logic Certification keeps centres informed

Every year Logic Certification approved centres get together to find out the latest qualifications on offer, what's happening in the building services engineering sector and how these influences might affect their businesses. Keeping abreast of industry changes is key to meeting learner needs and responding to market demands - essential for the ongoing success of LCL.
