LCL Awards Forum – June 21st – June 24th 2021. At a computer near you!

This year, our approved centre forum is virtual, so you will only need to take an hour or two out of your day to attend the sessions that will benefit your business.  All sessions are free and bookable through Eventbrite (see below for links to book).

Tracy Harker and the team have put together an exciting programme of events with experts from LCL Awards and the wider building services engineering sector, bringing you the latest news and updates. 

There will also be a series of workshops on delivering our qualifications. These are always popular – and rightly so.

Monday 21st June

9.30 -10.30: An introduction to the Xams system and e-portfolious for ACS will follow a short welcome address from Mark Krull and Kevin Budd.

Tuesday 22nd June

9.30 -10.30: A Parnassus System and Xams Masterclass, for centre administration staff. A demonstration on how to register and grade learners on Parnassus software and how to set up an exam on Xams.

14.00-14.45: How to prepare for an EQA Audit. Tracy Harker and Neill Ovenden will offer advice on how to prepare in advance for both onsite and remote audits

15.00 – 16.00: A discussion session on EQA feedback and best practice – relating to our Managed Learning Programme (MLP)

16.00 – 17.00: Frank Bertie, Chief Technical Officer at NAPIT will be guest speaker, and will deliver an update on the electrical industry. This will be followed by a live Q&A session with Frank and the LCL Awards team.

Wednesday 23rd June

9.30 – 10.30: A speaker from Coelrind will deliver a session to show how remote invigilation/proctoring of exams works. This will be followed by a Q&A session.

Thursday 24th June

9.30 – 10.30: Peter Lambourne from Ecordia and Steve Humphreys, LCL Awards will show how the Ecordia system works. Demonstrating how to enter data, evidence and make assessments based on that evidence.

16.00 – 16.40: An update on renewables, in which Griff Thomas from GTEC and Ian Rippin from MCS will discuss what’s new and the potential opportunities that the sector offers for training centres. This session will be followed by a Q&A.
