LCL Awards introduces three new level 2 plumbing qualifications

28 Apr 2021

We’ve launched three new level 2 plumbing qualifications this week. A Diploma, for learners who have no access to workplace practice and two NVQ Diplomas, for those who can get real-world work experience (one of which allows for RPL).

These qualifications are our first foray into level 2 plumbing, providing a great opportunity for centres looking to take advantage of this popular arm of building services engineering.

All Diplomas have been designed in accordance with legislation, regulations and industry standards (SSA:5.2 Building and Construction) and have received support from plumbing and heating businesses.

Who are they for?

The LCL Awards Level 2 Diploma in the Installation & Maintenance of Plumbing & Heating Systems 603/7342/6, is centre-based and provides new entrants to the sector with a thorough grounding in the knowledge and skills required for the installation and maintenance of plumbing and heating systems, preparing them for employment.

The LCL Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in the Installation & Maintenance of Plumbing & Heating Systems 603/7342/8, covers the same ground, but is for those already working in the sector, who have access to workplace practice to help them with their learning.

With the additional option of an RPL route for those with significant non-certified experience.
