LCL Level 3 Award in Oxy-Fuel brazing within the RACHP sector
14 May 2019LCL has launched a new qualification - Level 3 Award in Oxy-Fuel brazing within the RACHP sector - for engineers looking for training in the safe use of Oxy-Fuel brazing equipment during the installation, replacement or de-commissioning of RACHP equipment and components.
Who is the qualification for?
This stand-alone RACHP qualification is aimed at applicants with an engineering background, but there are no formal pre-requisite qualification requirements.
What does the new RACHP course cover?
Learners will be given a thorough grounding in the working principles of RACHP oxy-fuel blazing processes, particularly the legislative and organisational procedures relating to the process. The qualification covers the steps that need to be taken in preparation for brazing, enabling candidates to connect RACHP pipework using oxy-fuel brazing techniques.
Suggested supporting qualifications:
- LCL Regulated Qualification in Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases on Refrigerant Systems (Category I-IV)
- LCL Level 3 Certificate in the Installation, Service and Maintenance of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump (RACHP) Systems
- LCL Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pumps Systems (Non-refrigerant Circuits)
- LCL Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Air Source Heat Pumps
- LCL Level 3 Award in Understanding the properties and use of flammable refrigerants in accordance with ACRIB specification (A2L, A2 and A3)
Is this right for my centre?
This bolt-on qualification makes a useful addition to centres already offering a suite of RACHP qualifications.
