Heat pump experts, Kensa, showcase service to help centres deliver GSHP training at LCL Forum
13 Jun 2023
Kensa is the UK’s premier Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) manufacturer and installer. The company was established in 1999 and is based in Cornwall. We’ve invited them to this year’s Forum, so you can find out more about GSHPs and how Kensa can help you prepare for the heat pump revolution!
As well as manufacturing GSHP units and designing and installing systems, Kensa provide personalised support for trainers to make sure they fully understand the technology and deliver the most effective courses at their centres. Kensa also helps training centres to enhance their offering by providing a fully functioning demonstration heat pump with a simulated ground array which helps installers better understand how the technology absorbs heat from the ground.
Come and meet Kensa
On 30th June, the Kensa stand will be manned by Darren Veal, part of the company’s senior management team, and Todd Whymark who has been developing ground source heat pump technology for the past 17 years. Todd has played a big part in the development of Kensa’s EVO system, which will be on display at the forum, alongside their Shoebox, a ground source heat pump small and quiet enough to be installed inside flats and apartments.
They are looking forward to demonstrating the kit and explaining how their training service can benefit LCL centres across the country.
Darren explains: “We’re thrilled to have been invited to LCL Awards Forum this year and will be there to tell delegates about the full support and training we’re able to offer any centres wishing to deliver LCL Awards’ ground source heat pump design and installation course.
“With the Government's target to install 600,000 heat pumps by 2028, there’s a great incentive for plumbers and heating engineers to up-skill and transition to low-carbon heating and renewable technologies. GSHPs will naturally play a big part in this and, with our considerable experience and manufacturing base, we’re here to offer support to training centres throughout the UK.
“Our friendly “train-the-trainer” provision, designed to give instructors confidence when delivering ground source heat pump training, will help centres prepare themselves for the future, encourage course uptake and add value.
“The dedicated team of highly motivated, dynamic technical engineers that I manage share my passion for delivering first-class support to training centres, colleges, and universities interested in learning more about GSHPs. The initial uptake of our training support has been enormously well received and very encouraging.
“It’s important to us that Kensa is doing its bit; playing its part in helping Great Britain step towards a cleaner, greener future. Come and talk to us at the Forum and we can show you how you too can do your bit.”
