For the first time, we have invited some complimentary service providers to have stands at this year's Forum, taking place on 30th June. Ben Smith and Rachel Harrison will be coming from Gordon Associates, to present their Endeavour software, designed to support the essential business functions of training companies.

On Friday 30th June delegates from our approved centres will gather in Bristol for the LCL Awards Forum.  This year it’s at the Concorde Museum at Aerospace Bristol.

There will be invited speakers from the building services sector, offering industry updates and, for the first time, some special exhibitors, one of which is KANE.

For the first time, the LCL Awards Forum is playing host to a number of exhibitors, who will be showcasing products and services that might be beneficial to your centre. In the run up to the event, which takes place on 30th June, we will be introducing these businesses.

First-up is fellow LCL Awards centre, GTEC, the renewables experts that can help other centres get their own 'green' training provision up and running.

LCL Awards centre, Options Skills, celebrates its 10th year in business this May. Since launching in 2013, the training provider has continued to grow and expand, now employing over 50 people and operating across four training locations in the UK.

LCL Awards is delighted to announce that its updated Water Regulations course has been officially recognised by Water Regs UK as meeting the minimum competency requirements for plumbers who wish to join the WIAPS Approved Contractor Scheme.

Shahid Khan describes himself as a regular chap from Yorkshire, who loves his food and rugby. But there’s a lot more to him than that! Shahid, who has an MSc in Building Services Engineering, set up his training company, Tesla Technical Training Ltd in 2015, when he spotted the opportunity to provide training for a major client with whom he was working at the time. Bradford based, Tesla Technical Training, has recently been approved as an LCL Awards centre.

Energy Technical Academy (ETA) has recently signed-up to LCL Awards’ Inclusivity Charter. We spoke to the company’s Senior Administrator, Rachel Wheeler, whose own experience makes her appreciate the accepting, welcoming environment that ETA promotes, to encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds to work in the trades.
